Your heart races as you get off the subway at your first Extinction Rebellion action, in downtown Manhattan. You walk a few hundred yards to the muster point, where the rebels gather. They're milling about, holding extinction rebellion flags. Someone in brightly colored clothing is walking around, and affixing patches, and buttons to the rebels' attire, to make them look like a unit. It's shaping up to be a beautiful rebellion.

Suddenly you notice someone who stands out from the rest. Her hair is tied back in a pony tail. She stands with a megaphone in her hand, and even as she moves the megaphone to her lips, everyone already seems to be paying attention.

"Extinction!" she cries.

"Rebellion!" the rebels answer.

You note from her voice - she is the same person who called you two days ago, and invited you to this action. You wonder, how much has she done, how hard has she worked, for this moment.

She gives the instructions for the march, leaving out certain details she has conveyed to each of you in secret, and through other various means of communication.

Her name slips your memory, so you check your signal. "Sarah" - you won't soon forget that name.

She marches off.. and you follow. Come what may - this is our day for climate justice.

You wonder - how could I ever fulfill such an important role? To be the leader of the action?
