Greenwashing is the act of making false or misleading claims about the environmental benefits of a product, service, investment fund, or technology. In late 2020, JP Morgan Chase kicked off a $2.5 trillion "sustainability" campaign filled with misleading promises and commitments. Chase has no intention of seriously reducing new fossil fuel supply by 2030, and is setting a bar so low that other financial institutions won't feel the need to act. They are funding climate chaos. We cannot allow this greenwashing to advance. We will gather at Grand Central then head to the JP Morgan Chase headquarters with a message: WE ARE WATCHING YOU.
