  • To create and carry out a media plan coordinated with the action and logistics group.

  • To create, maintain, and publicize central repositories for: - media coverage & XR member photos of actions, etc.

  • To collect viewer demographics and react appropriately

  • To grow XR membership and alliances

  • To integrate new XR members into the movement

  • To build and maintain a strong community within XR

  • To develop resources & curriculum for all trainings within XR NYC

Political Strategy

  • To organise a Negotiating Team to speak to the authorities/government if and when an opportunity opens to us, where the Negotiating Team cannot include members of the Stewardship & Strategy Teams

  • To convene an advisory team of people with policy experience

  • To take advice and network with others in the radical movements about how to proceed

  • To take advice and network with people in the political class/sphere who can talk, including talking behind the scenes, to people in the government / political parties, on our behalf.

  • On the basis of the feedback from all the above four groups, to make specific proposals to the Strategy Team on endgame scenarios

Regenerative Culture

  • To create a resilient, creative, and compassionate movement through building a culture of care, connection, and respect.

  • Through the Conflict Resilience sub-circle, to provide space and support for Rebels to learn and grow by processing conflict regeneratively, through dialogue and connection.

  • Through the Self-Organizing Systems sub-circle, to inspire, equip, and support people to work effectively together in a decentralized way, while also maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships and accountable use of power.

Just Transition

  • To increase the presence, leadership, and coalition with marginalized communities, both within and adjacent to XRNYC, ensuring the actions of our organization best reflect and support the interests, safety, vision, and wisdom of those who are and will continue to be disproportionately harmed by the climate crisis.
