More information about the guest speakers:

Steven Donziger - Renowned human rights attorney, author, and activist Steven helped indigenous and farmer communities win a historic $9.5 billion judgment against Chevron for environmental cleanup in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Despite this, he was wrongfully imprisoned, becoming the only individual targeted with criminal charges by a corporation. Chevron also took his law license and confiscated his passport. If Steven is not pardoned, thousands of people in the Amazon facing imminent death from Chevron's pollution will likely be left defenseless.

Kamau FranklIn - Kamau is a prominent organizer of Stop Cop City, a decentralized and autonomous movement that has been working to stop the destruction of the Weelaunee Forest in Atlanta and prevent the creation of a more than $90 million urban warfare training center in a majority Black working class community. Cop City is backed by a coalition of public and private Atlanta elites. As the founder of Community Movement Builders, Kamau has spearheaded initiatives for youth empowerment, addressing police misconduct, and fostering sustainable urban communities. Kamau practiced law independently in New York for ten years, specializing in criminal, civil rights, and transactional law.
