Listen to the Science - March for Science

  • Central Park West & W 72nd St New York, NY, 10023 United States (map)

The science has been clear for years. So why aren't we paying attention?

In the words of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres: Climate activists are sometimes depicted as dangerous radicals. But the truly dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing the production of fossil fuels. Investing in new fossil fuels infrastructure is moral and economic madness…Some government and business leaders are saying one thing - but doing another. Simply put, they are lying.

It's time to listen to the science; the climate -- and our future -- demands action NOW.

The climate and peace movements come together for a rally and short march in front of the IRS this tax day, April 18th, to demand that our tax money stop being used to fund endless war and environmental destruction. The US Pentagon is the number one institutional consumer of oil on the planet. In order to maintain its 800+ military bases around the world, the Pentagon alone produces more fossil fuel emissions than 140 other countries, COMBINED.

Media, Do Your Jobs: Tell the Truth March

It's Don't Look Up but real life, and the planet-killing comet barreling toward us is the climate crisis. As suggested by the movie, mainstream news outlets like NBC News and ABC News rarely cover climate change—even when there are obvious breaking news hooks such as deadly extreme weather. Join us to demand these news outlets immediately start prioritizing this emergency, which represents the biggest story of our times!
